How do I renew my Apportioned Registration?

PA apportioned registration renewals need to be completed by May 31. You can limit any problems by starting early. Renewal applications are sent from IRP in the beginning of February. Follow the instructions, fill out the forms and send them back to the address listed on the form. At that point, you should receive an invoice in response to your completed application. Pay the invoice, attach the necessary documents and you should receive you credentials for the new registration year.

Sounds easy enough...

  • What happens if I have a question?
Call 1.800.932.4600. That is the number for the PennDot Call Center. You will be directed to the apportioned registration telephone system which may be able to assist you with basic questions without speaking directly to a representative. If you need to speak with a representative, leave a message and someone will return your call.

PaTruckTags.com can answer any questions you may have and
we can assist you with your account in many of the same ways PennDot can.

  • What happens if I don't receive a renewal application?
It is your responsibility to make sure you renew your registration properly and timely. If you fail to receive your renewal application or your invoice, this does not mean you will be allowed time beyond May 31 because you did not know have the paperwork. You will still be subject to fines and penalties if you operate your vehicle without valid credentials. You can contact PennDot to generate and resend a new application but these processes take time because of the increased workload.

PaTruckTags.com can fill out the proper forms without your original application.
We have the necessary information available to complete these forms accurately
so your invoice may be generated in a timely fashion.
